Precise Surgeon with over 20 years of performing colorectal surgeries accurately. Completed over 3000 successful surgeries and committed to maintaining relationships with patients. Skilled at providing comprehensive care and family education. Detail-oriented team player with strong organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy.

Currently working as Head of the Laparoscopic & Robotic Colorectal Surgery at the Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon (Portugal) and also senior Colorectal Surgeon and Head of Robotic Surgery Programe at Hamad General Hospital in Doha (Qatar).

He holds a personal chair at the University of Portsmouth affiliated with the Faculty of Health Science at Portsmouth, UK. He is also a Director and Founding Member of the European Academy of Robotic Colorectal Surgery (EARCS) since 2014.

Skilled Researcher enthusiastic about supporting advancement colorectal surgery and surgical education. Passionate about increasing knowledge to drive growth and needed improvements. Participated in over 150 publications in international peer reviewed journals and book chapters. Additionally, supervised research projects and postgraduate education programes, leading to awards of MSc, MRes and MD degrees.
